Diversity and distribution of the brown macroalgae (Phaeophyceae Kjellman, 1891) in cham islands, Quang Nam province, Vietnam

The study investigated the Phaeophyceae during year 2019 at sixteen sampling sites representative for Cham islands. Specimens were collected by scuba diving, snorkelling and walking upper tidal zone in both dry rainy seasons. Twenty-five species of identified islands from four orders, families eleven genera. Sargassaceae family is most abundant composition, followed Dictyotaceae, Scytosiphonaceae Asteronemataceae family. In six surveyed, Hon Lao has highest diversity with 19 recorded; Dai, Tai, Kho Mo island recorded 10 to 14 species, lowest La 8 species. Ten Canistrocarpus cervicornis, Dictyota spinulosa, Lobophora obscura, variegata, Pandina minor, Sargassum bicorne, herklotsii, parvifolium, Turbinaria conoides, Asteronema breviarticulatum reported as new records marine flora
